How to change the file associations or default editor being used for editing files from server on Filezilla?

0

I am connected to web server through FileZilla and now I want to edit the files on server by clicking view/edit option on file in filezilla. But that file either doesn’t show up getting opened or opens in an editor which I don’t find good.
What I am suppose to do to change file associations for different types of file?

On Windows

  • Go to Edit on top left corner and click on settings from dropdown.

  • After this we get 4 options on left side

    • Connection
    • Transfers
    • Interface
    • File Editing
  • Click on File editing and then in right side choose Use Custom Editor

  • Now Browse the application of your need from applications

  • Now choose Always Use Default Editor

On Mac

  • Go to settings by clicking on FileZilla on top left corner and go to settings from dropdown

  • Continue as above.

On Linux/Ubuntu

  • Go to Edit on top left corner and click on preferences from drop down

  • After this we get 4 options as of above

  • Click on File editing and then in right side choose Use Custom Editor

  • Now Browse the application of your need from applications, for example sublime text resides at /opt/sublime_text/sublime_text

  • Now choose Always Use Default Editor
